OUR MISSION

Compassion in Action: Supporting Abandoned and Abused Animals in Spain

At House of Repentance, our mission goes beyond clothing. As a Spanish brand rooted in Christian values, we believe that true repentance is lived out through acts of mercy — especially toward the most vulnerable in creation.

Spain faces a deep and painful realitymore than 300,000 dogs and cats are abandoned each year, making it one of the countries with the highest rates of abandonment in Europe. But the suffering goes far beyond what is visible on the streets.

Across the country, countless animals endure violence, exploitation, and death — protected by cultural traditions, legal loopholes, or sheer indifference. Hunting dogs — especially galgos and podencos — are often discarded, hanged, or killed when no longer considered “useful.” Bullfighting, animal fiestas, illegal puppy mills, and neglected farm animals are part of a larger problem: the normalization of cruelty.

Even in the name of science, animals suffer behind closed doors. In animal testing laboratories like Vivotecnia, countless animals are confined, abused, and experimented on — often in violation of ethical standards and without accountability. These places exist in the shadows, and yet their practices are legally tolerated.

These acts are not only legal in many cases — they are often celebrated, hidden, or ignored. As Christians, we believe this breaks the heart of God. Creation was entrusted to us not to dominate, but to protect, nurture, and reflect the love of the Creator.

That’s why we’ve committed to donating 2,50 € from every garment sold to trusted rescue and protection organizations in Spain. These groups work to save abandoned animals, shelter the abused, and fight for a world where all creatures are treated with dignity.

This is not a campaign. This is our mission — a concrete way to live the Gospel through compassion, repentance, and justice.

“The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.” – Psalm 145:9

“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40

When you wear House of Repentance, you’re not just wearing clothing — you’re standing for life, mercy, and change.

More Than a Brand: A Living Commitment

Our commitment to the vulnerable is not just something we plan for — it’s something we live out every day.

We are proud to have been members of Soi Dog Foundation (Thailand) for over a year, supporting the rescue of street animals from abuse, trafficking, and slaughter.

We are also dedicated supporters of Amigos de los Mayores, a Spanish nonprofit working to fight loneliness and abandonment among the elderly.

In addition, we regularly donate food, blankets, and beds to local animal shelters near our home. Small gestures of care that, together, form a way of life grounded in mercy.

From animals to the elderly, we believe no one is too small, too weak, or too forgotten to matter.

In Loving Memory & Deep Gratitude

Lagun, Bat, Puppy & Milos

This mission was born from the love we shared with Lagun, Bat, and Puppy — and continues today with Milos, who is still by my side and has changed my life in ways I could never have imagined. He reminds us daily of the beauty, loyalty, and dignity that every animal deserves.

Looking Ahead: Our First Donation in 2026

We officially began reserving 2,50 € from every sale in October 2025. Our first donation will be made on October 4, 2026 — World Animal Day. Until then, every purchase helps us build toward that moment of mercy and impact.

Thank you for being part of this mission from the very beginning.

You Can Help, Too

No matter where you live, animals suffer in silence — abandoned, abused, or used for entertainment. We invite you to be part of the change:

– Support local rescue organizations

– Speak out against cruelty

– Educate others

– Pray for creation

– Live with mercy

Whether through your time, your voice, your resources, or your prayers, your compassion can restore dignity to those who have none.

Mercy is not limited by borders.

Love begins at home.

Repentance becomes real when it turns outward.
